Woman Steals Daughter's Identity To Become High School Cheerleader

Over the years, we've shared with you a number of bizarre
examples of identity theft. This latest case just in from the
I can't believe it really happened file adds a whole new twist.

Cheerleader Mom Identity Theft

It seems a 33 year old Wisconsin mother always really wanted
to have become a high school cheerleader. By stealing her
teenager daughter's identity, the mother's lifelong dream
became true - almost.

"Wendy Brown enrolled in a high school saying
she was 15-years-old. According to reports,
Brown attended cheerleading practices, had
her own locker, and went to a party at the
coach's house.

She was finally caught after the check
she wrote for $134.50 to pay her cheerl
eading uniform bounced causing people
to look at her a little more closely
and ask questions."

I guess the mom figured no one would
notice her age difference?!!

You may ask, what about the daughter &
her teenage friends noticing?

Well, the 15 year old daughter lives out of
state with her grandmother and evidently
had no idea mom was impersonating her.

So, our tip for today is to guard well your
personal identity and to be on the watch
for unfortunately scandalous relatives who
like the Wisconsin mother, hold no limits
to committing fraud in someone else's
good name.
